Public Matters welcomes three new colleagues
Public Matters is pleased to announce that a number of new colleagues have recently started. Effective July 1, 2023, we welcomed Door van Leeuwen Boomkamp as Senior Director and Puck Borgmann as Account Executive. As of August 1, 2023, Sybren Wagenaar started as Senior Account Executive.
In addition to welcoming our new colleagues, there is more great news, a number of colleagues have been promoted as of August: Danaï Kostoulas to Senior Account Executive and both Evi Sonnemans and Valérie Mendes de León to Consultant.
About Door
Door brings more than 15 years of experience in politics and Public Affairs, both in The Hague and Brussels. Door is particularly well known in the financial sector: her experience ranges from The Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NBA) to more than seven years at Rabobank. Door’s thorough knowledge of the Binnenhof, Brussels and the financial sector will be of great value to Public Matters, and our clients.
About Puck
While studying History and International Relations, Puck developed a passion for national and international politics. She gained experience with an internship in International & Public Affairs at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). In her role as Account Executive, Puck’s focus will include energy transition.
About Sybren
After his studies, focused on the European Union, Sybren moved to Brussels to experience the European institutions up close. Here he was able to develop himself as a Public Affairs advisor. With this developed (European) expertise he will join Public Matters, working particularly in the field of circular economy and technology.

De @RaadvanState is kritisch op het #begrotingsbeleid van kabinet Rutte IV, en stelt dat het met de recente #Voorjaarsnota ‘expansief begrotingsbeleid’ voert. Daarmee zouden te veel financiële risico’s vooruitgeschoven worden, en wordt de ruimte voor komende kabinetten beperkt.

Verder adviseert de RvS om nog steviger in te zetten op één besluitvormingsmoment in het voorjaar waarin beslist wordt over de zowel de uitgaven als de inkomsten van de begroting. Opvolging van dat advies zou nadrukkelijk impact hebben de betekenis van #Prinsjesdag.
