Trainee
I have been curious about society and democracy from a young age, and later added economics to that mix. Although I initially went on to study Philosophy, Politics & Economics because of my interest in economics, I eventually found my niche in political philosophy. Although this specialization gave me a strong theoretical foundation about how society and politics work and ideally should work, it was during my time at the University of Exeter, on an exchange program, that I realized my practical knowledge in this area was somewhat lacking.
As a Trainee, my goal is to get a hands-on understanding of the practical side of politics and how political decisions and policies actually come together. I’m also quite intrigued by how public affairs connects the economic interests of the private sector with the public responsibilities of the political world.
Personal
In my free time, I am still active in my social student life. And when it comes to sports, you can find me at the gym or in the boxing ring. On sunny days, I like to go out on the water, whether it’s rowing or surfing. Since the COVID-19 crisis, I have developed a real passion for photography, so you will often see me with a camera in hand.
