During high school, I developed a fascination for The Hague and Dutch politics. This led me to studying Political Science at Leiden University. Within my Master’s programme, I specialise in Dutch politics. My motivation for public affairs stems from the idea that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process and I like to use my political knowledge for that.
After a first experience with public affairs at the public affairs department of the city of Leiden, I now focus on national and European politics. I believe that political issues of the future are interlinked and politics at every level can be relevant. During my internship at Public Matters, I will be working on tech-legislation and in addition I will be exploring the issues regarding healthcare.
Besides politics, I like going to concerts, preferably in Paradiso. I play guitar in a cover band and like to listen to podcasts.
